Week of 10-2
Tuesday and Block Day we continued to discuss CA 2 ... focus was Ancient Greece and the Athenian Golden Age.
We watched Engineering an Empire Greece (finish ... WS due Friday 10-13) and discussed ancient Philosophers and Humanism, Rationalism, and Secularism.
Friday - Video and WS on ROME ... while I am away ... will be continued Monday.

Be an ART HISTORIAN AND DESCRIBE with clear examples from the US CAPITOL BUILDING how it has its roots in images from the 250 (flashcard set). Clearly identify the architecture from the flashcard set you are referencing. This is an ATTRIBUTION QUESTION similar to what you could get on the AP EXAM.

Monday October 1st ... Minoans
We discussed the Minoans, Myceneans, and Cycladic peoples.
The Minoans were the first to use a magnifying glass, employ a script, and use exact sciences. Minoan number systems were based on the decimal system and the NUMERALS were the exact same as the Egyptians. They knew geometry and employed it along with plumbing and advanced sewage technology in the construction of their palaces.
